III. The ScrumMaster

Their key responsibilities include:

  1. Facilitating Scrum ceremonies, like Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
  2. Coaching the team in Scrum practices to improve their effectiveness.
  3. Shielding the team from external interruptions during the sprint.
  4. Promoting effective communication and fostering a harmonious team environment.
  5. Assisting the team in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making.

IV. The Development Team

The Development Team comprises professionals executing the work prescribed in the Sprint Backlog. They are self-organizing team members who deliver a potentially releasable increment of the product by the end of each sprint.

Their key responsibilities include:

  1. Creating a plan for the sprint, also known as the Sprint Backlog.
  2. Implementing the work from the prioritized Product Backlog items.
  3. Meeting at daily stand-ups to discuss progress, plan the day’s work, and address issues.
  4. Resolving problems and impediments, leveraging the ScrumMaster’s help when necessary.
  5. Collaborating intensively to deliver functionality at the end of each sprint.

Development Team’s accountabilities involve:

  • Implementing scrum practices in their daily activities.
  • Adhering to the agreed upon Definition of Done.
  • Ensuring quality and timeliness in delivering product increments.
