They use these as learning opportunities, not as a chance to assign blame. This builds both trust and resilience amongst team members.

Building a Shared Mindset

Furthermore, these principles should not only be limited within the team. Building a shared mindset also requires establishing a strong relationship with the customer based on these principles. To illustrate, in cases where a customer might want to add more features to the product, an agile leader has to ensure that the team focuses on delivering valuable, working software rather than just adding features. This requires open and honest communication with the customer to manage expectations and ensure alignment with agile values.

The Principle of Self-Organization

Finally, it’s also significant to imbibe the principle of self-organization within the team. Agile teams are expected to organize themselves best to get the work done. A good agile leader will foster this by empowering the team, removing impediments, and ensuring the team has the needed resources.
